What is a Sub-Inspector (SI)

A Sub-Inspector is a supervisory rank in the state police. They typically lead a police chowki or post, manage constables, investigate FIRs, maintain law & order, traffic duties, etc.

The rank is above constable / head constable and below Inspector. It involves both field work and administrative duties.

Salary / Job Profile
